I discovered by accident the center channel needs a 6SL7 rather than a 6SN7 to drive the 45. You are right to say this is a fine sounding tube. I can't wait to hear what this will sound like on a Magnepan MMG-C center channel speaker.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17890807633225377278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2098337119765190876.post-55827470113547296962016-05-28T02:54:00.127+02:002016-05-28T02:54:00.127+02:00Indeed, another lovely set of photos. Or at least try to determine which is the least microphonic if I ever build a phono stage around them.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01776503135894188799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2098337119765190876.post-49627425622700095522016-05-26T22:46:46.866+02:002016-05-26T22:46:46.866+02:00Thanks Tim!

The 7F7 deserves it's own tube of the month post.

ThomasVinylSavorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03255472557028244395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2098337119765190876.post-83040539373211424242016-05-26T20:54:39.933+02:002016-05-26T20:54:39.933+02:00Beautiful photography and excellent information as...Beautiful photography and excellent information as usual. Thank you for your awesome blog.

Just thought I'd add that the 7F7 is a loctal variant of the 6SL7. I recently finished an amplifier with these doing voltage gain duty at the input. Bought spares for $1 each at the local antique radio meet-up, too!Tim Chttp://wtfamps.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
