Some impressions of the main system at this years ETF.
A collaboration of several people. An array of different amps drives the active speakers.
One of the amps made by Dave Slagle with transmitting style tubes and mercury vapour rectifiers. He carried over the amp in his luggage in pieces and it got inspected and taken apart by the TSA, hence the tape...
But he got it working again no problem.
Here a video clip of the system playing. The distortion is caused by the camera mic being overloaded.
