Live from Hong Kong : Showroom Opening Part 2

Hi!

Today is the last day of our showroom opening and I am waiting for the flight back home. Time to share some more impressions.

It's been a great few days filled with lots of music, interesting talks, and good food!

Hong Kong has a very lively and active audio scene and it is always great to come back here.

I'd like to thank all the visitors for the time they spent with us.

And a big thanks to the neighbours in our building for the warm welcome.

A big thanks also to Charles for the beautiful speakers.

And to Thomas for the turntable.

And of course a big thanks and congratulations to Emmanuel for setting up this location!

Here a last video clip:

Looking forward to be back again soon for more events. In the meantime please contact Emmanuel to arrange appointments for some listening.

Best regards

Thomas

Live from Hong Kong : Showroom Opening

Hi!

Here a few impressions from the opening day of the showroom in Hong Kong.

Azzolina Audio Mojo speakers driven by 211/211 single ended mono amplifiers:

The amplifiers are the version with the ELROG ER27A rectifiers in the power supply. While the ELROG ER211 is used as driver, we equipped the output sockets with the molybdenum plate ER242. The 845 mono blocks in the front could be hooked up alternatively.

Two sets of preamplifiers available to be swapped between. A 10Y linestage and D3a phono and a set of my statement preamplifier with differential all silver 10Y line and EC8020 phono stage. A Garrard 401 with a Thomas Schick plinth and arm. Cartridge is a Lyra Etna.

For the opening we received a nice flower bouquet as welcome gift which was placed at the entrance.

Right after opening we had the room full with the first visitors.

A lot of discussions about the gear and of course also listening:

It's been a great first day and we enjoyed it a lot.

The opening of the showroom continues until April 10th. Visit us in room 304 in the Carnival Commercial Building, 18 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong. After that arrangements for individual listening sessions can be made. Call or email Emmanuel Lebreton of Baoling Alternative Audio for an appointment.

Best regards

Thomas

Live from Hong Kong : Showroom Set Up

Hi!

Here a few impressions of the set up phase of the show room

The shipment with the speakers and amplifiers arrived a few days ago.

All the boxes needed to be moved from the receiving warehouse to the show room location.

Luckily the neighbours on our floor did not complain about us blocking the hall way during the unpacking.

A first sound check:

Things are coming together:

Here a view of the system in the final set up:

And final sound check:

The show room is ready for the opening.

The New Colours

Hi!

In a previous post I showed some metal plates in purple and orange. Today I am giving a preview of the final looks.

A 10Y line stage in purple and D3a phono in orange:

Front and back plates are still missing as they are not engraved yet.

Close ups of the line stage and it's power supply.

The phono with white transformer covers and grey LCR modules.

Stay tuned for more photos when these are finished.

Best regards

Thomas
