Making of a D3a LCR Phono Preamplifier

 Hi!

Here some photos of a recently finished phono stage and it's construction process.

This time the color scheme is black / gold.

As all my phono stages it has an outboard power supply.

For more technical details check the post about a previously built unit.

Some impressions from the assembly steps:

Starting with the bare metal plates.

The tube sockets have their own vibration damped sub plates:

Power supply plate with sockets and some resistors mounted and partially wired:

The high voltage transformer is mounted on the top side:

The heater supply has it's own transformer which is mounted on the under side.

All chokes are on a separate plate:

Almost finished power supply:

Power supply done:

The signal section with transformers and LCR modules:

Power supply chokes for decoupling of the individual stages on a separate assembly:

Almost finished:

The remaining spaces will take high voltage decoupling caps and MC step up transformers

Ready to be inserted into the wooden frame:

Best regards
